Nadszedł lipiec i nadeszła Malta Festival Poznań. Nasze miasto chyba nie wyobraża sobie już roku
bez tego festiwalu, który tak szybko i mocno wrósł w świadomość
poznaniaków. Impreza jest już z nami po raz dwudziesty pierwszy.
A wszystko zaczęło się od chęci
ożywienia terenu przy nowo powstałym Torze Regatowym Malta.
Zaproszono wtedy kilka zespołów z Polski i zagranicy. W kolejnym
roku zgłoszeń i chętnych na występy było już więcej, a w
następnym jeszcze więcej. I tak ze chęci ożywienia jednego
miejsca w mieście zrodził się festiwal, który teraz porywa
kulturalnie naszą część Europy.
Ideą było wyjście na ulice i
przedstawienie teatru nie jako tego zamkniętego w czterech ścianach,
ale tego, który wychodzi na zewnątrz i bezpośrednio do odbiorcy.
Do Poznania przyjeżdżają muzycy z całego świata, różnego
rodzaju grupy taneczne i teatralne, a nawet artyści z pogranicza
sztuki cyrkowej. Oprócz tego można również obejrzeć dobre filmy
lub wziąć udział w warsztatach teatralnych lub panelach
dyskusyjnych.
Tego roku (4.07) zagra swój jedyny
koncert w Polsce zespół Faith No More.

It's July and the Malta Festival Poznan
has arrived. Our city probably cannot imagine a year without the
festival, which has so quickly and firmly rooted itself in the
awareness of people lifing in Poznań. The event is already with us
for the twenty-first time.
It has all started with a desire to revitalize the area at the newly formed Malta Regatta Course. Back then several Polish and foreign theaters were invited. The following year, there were more applicants and willing to perform groups, and the next year, even more. And so with the desire to revive one place in the city, a festival that now grabs our part of Europe culturally, came up.
The idea was to exit the traditional theater which is contained within the four walls, and go out on the streets to meet and interact directly with the recipient. Musicians from around the world come to Poznan, different kinds of dance and theater groups, artists and even circus performers. In addition, you can also watch good movies, or participate in theater workshops and panel discussions.
This year (4.07) the band Faith No More will play their only concert in Poland.
